An unknown phone number calls, you pick up the phone but there is no response on the other end. Thinking it might be a network error, you call back and immediately become a victim of a telecommunications fraud. Bad guys use a device to automatically make mass calls on a large scale, to millions of random mobile phone numbers around the world. This scam was popular in the US and European countries in previous years but is reappearing in Vietnam. Many people have lost money because of the habit of calling back missed numbers or calls with audio errors.

According to experts, bad guys use fake numbers to make users think they are regular domestic calls with low fees, but in fact the numbers charge high fees.

To avoid falling into the trap of telecom scam calls, users should be extremely cautious with calls and flashing from strange phone numbers. If the caller wants to connect with you, they will continue to call until they can connect with you or try to contact you through other channels.
