The bad guys called, claiming to be police officers, to inform that according to the new Road Traffic Law, each citizen participating in traffic will be given 12 points, asking them to pay attention to their phones because someone will call to guide them in installing public services to integrate these points. Not long after, they used the phone number 0818050180 to call and "instruct" people to enter personal information, take pictures of the front and back of their bank cards. Following these requests, the victims' bank accounts were immediately deducted.

This is a new form of fraud, but many people have fallen into the trap. Even when the victim is suspicious, the bad guys immediately reassure them that they do not ask for information but only guide them to install the service via Zalo.

Experts say that the scam of impersonating government officials and employees is not new, but the tricks are becoming more and more sophisticated. Their trick is to call and request during office hours, working hours... people will not be able to arrange time to go directly to the public service agency but agree to do it online according to their requests.
