Bad guys steal images of famous resorts and hotels and then create websites and Facebook fanpages that are identical to the real ones, tricking customers into transferring deposits to book rooms and then taking them. Many victims have been scammed from several million to hundreds of millions of VND and the chance of getting their money back is almost zero.

Recently, a series of resort and tourism brands such as Amaya Retreat Soc Son (Hanoi), Glenda Tower Moc Chau or The Cliff & Residences (Phan Thiet) and many resorts, homestays, hotels in tourist destinations such as Sapa, Co To, Nha Trang... have been exploited by bad guys, impersonating and defrauding customers who book rooms online.

Bkav experts said that the trick of scammers is to spend money to buy a large number of likes and followers to disguise and create trust. They can even create comments on the page using Chatbot. Therefore, you should not base on interactive information to determine whether the site is real or fake. The market for trading likes, followers or fanpages is very active and easy to trade. Bkav recommends that users need to be especially vigilant, absolutely do not transfer money to strangers via phone, social networks, or websites that show signs of fraud.
