Warning: Traffic fine notice sent via shipper is a scam
11:24:00 | 10-04-2025

Bad guys pretend to be shippers, call people to inform them of a traffic violation ticket sent by the authorities, request payment of transportation fees via bank transfer or download the "VNeID application" to update information. The goal of the bad guys is to steal money as well as passwords, OTP codes, PIN codes of bank accounts, and social networks of the victims through the fake application that they trick them into downloading.

According to experts, many people have fallen for this scam because they do not understand the process of handling traffic violation fines by the authorities. In addition, the bad guys provide detailed information about the name and license plate number of the vehicle, making people more confident in the authenticity of the notice.

People should note that the police do not work with people via phone or social networks. Calls or delivery of fines via shippers are all fake. If you receive a strange call with suspicious signs, be vigilant, absolutely do not transfer money, do not provide information, do not access strange links, do not follow any requests from strangers.
