Bad guys use Telegram to trick people into watching movies online and doing voting tasks to receive money. In fact, this is a psychological manipulation scam, causing victims to continuously transfer money to scammers. Many people have lost tens of millions of dong.

Initially, the scammer lures the victim via text messages, sending them links to watch and rate the movie. After each task is completed, they will pay them a small amount of money to create trust. When the victim loses their guard, the scammer will ask them to deposit money to be able to receive more tasks. After depositing, the system reports an error and asks the victim to transfer a large amount of money, tens of millions of dong, to be able to withdraw all the money. From there, the victim is manipulated, continuously depositing more money in the hope of getting back the lost amount.

Bkav warns that people need to be vigilant, not to transfer money to strangers, and not to participate in doing easy, high-paying online tasks because they are all scam traps.
